Help me illustrate my children's book
Meet Benny.
Benny is an adorable yet problematic squirrel who harasses patrons at my favorite café in The Hammock, Florida. Last week she stole my whole muffin!
In response to Benny’s shenanigans, I wrote a children’s story called
The Squirrel Next Door
Rather than use a single artist
to illustrate this future book, my vision is to fill the pages with illustrations by artists of all ages and styles.

If you love to draw or paint and, like me, have a thing for squirrels, I'd love to consider your art for a page in the book. If I use your art, your original page will be published in The Squirrel Next Door, and you’ll get a complimentary copy of the book when it's complete.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ART
1) Read the story here.

2) Get inspired! Choose a scene - or scenes - from the book to illustrate in whatever medium you choose. The final book will be in 8.5" x 8.5" square format.

3) Multiple submissions for multiple pages are welcome.
4) Scan completed, original artwork in square digital format at least 2500 pixels x 2500 pixels.

5) Email your high-resolution artwork as an attachment.
6) In the body of the email, include your name, address, and a short bio (50 words or less)
Deadline for submissions: October 15th, 2025
If your art is included, you will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
Your name and bio will be included as well!

Note: For quality, high-resolution scans, you may want to bring your artwork to a print shop that specializes in scanning (eg. Staples or Office Depot)
